Hannafore Point
Hannafore Point is in West Looe and is a quiet, south east facing beach. Most people visit the beach for access to the South west Coast Path, the fantastic rock pools and the views of Looe Island. Great long promenade and ice cream kiosk!
Carlyon Bay
Carlyon Bay, in St Austell Bay, is a stretch of almost 2 miles of beautiful ‘sandy’ beach! The section of beach here is actually divided into three sections – Crinnis, Shorthorn and Polgaver. Crinnis is the part most people refer to as Carlyon Bay. In the summer there are pop up bars and food outlets.
South west Coast Path
Trethawle Barns is a great location to walk the Cornish South Coast section of the SWCP. Walk from Royal William Yard in Plymouth to Mevagissey with the help of local buses, trains and ferries. The coast path from Polperro to Mevagissey is one of the most stunning stretches, in my opinion!
Great Trethew Trekking
Great Trethew Trekking is set in the tranquil peace and quiet of 40 acres of woodlands and gardens. They have ponies to suit both adults and children of all ages and abilities. The riding school is open 7 days a week and offer all types of activities from woodland hacks, lessons and beach rides.
Whitsand Bay Golf Club
Whitsand Bay Golf Club was established in 1905 designed by Fernie of Troon. It hosts a fabulous 18 hole course. Set on a cliff-top overlooking Whitsand Bay, the 6,015 yard, par 70 course offers golfers some of the most stunning holes in British golf. The course is ideal for both low handicappers and beginners.
Looe Golf Club
Looe Golf club has panoramic views of Dartmoor, the Tamar estuary and Looe Island. Designed by golfing legend, Harry Vardon, Looe Golf Club is a heath and parkland course and has an 18-hole course measuring 5,940 yards. The Clubhouse welcomes all visitors with friendly courtesy and professionalism.
Siblyback Lake
Siblyback Lake is located on the edge of Bodmin Moor surrounded by moorland and dramatic tors. Walk, run or cycle the 3.2 mile circular path that runs around the lake, discover Siblyback Dam or hire a kayak or a paddleboard. Fabulous Café right by the lake – Olive & Co
