WELCOME
Gilliflower was once a very dark, dilapidated old dairy building . It is now a very spacious, light, bright open plan space. It is all on one level with a separate bedroom and bathroom. Wooden floors, exposed timber beams all contrast with the white colour scheme. It has been decorated and furnished with the utmost care and attention with an emphasis on quality.
The Living Room area has a big comfy sofa and armchair where you can hunker down and read a book or play a board game around the wood burning stove for a cosy evening in. Or you can take advantage of our full subscriptions to NOW TV and Disney+ and curl up to watch your favourite box sets, movies or SKY Sports. for two. In the seating area there is a large three seater sofa, in front of the wood burning stove, and a big squidgy armchair to curl up in and read a book. The cottage boasts a full subscription to NOW TV so you can snuggle up and watch your favourite box sets, movies or SKY Sports.
The kitchen is spacious and welcoming with bespoke painted units and solid oak worktops; designed, made and installed by a local craftsman. It is very well equipped with integrated appliances and has everything you might need to cook a hearty Cornish breakfast or even a full Sunday Roast! The dining area is a cosy space for sharing a romantic meal for two. For those warmer days or evenings, you could have a cup of tea, or a glass of wine, outside in the private garden space. There you will find outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ for your exclusive use to enjoy the midday and evening sun.
The bedroom has a big comfy super king-size bed and the bed linens are all 400 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton; all designed to ensure you have a great night’s sleep. There is an en-suite bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a double ended bath. On the heated towel-rail you will find luxuriously thick Egyptian Cotton bath sheets and hand towels.
Outdoors, as well as the private outdoor space, there is an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens which are ideal for picnics, ball games, walking the dog or just reading a book. There is a private parking space right outside the barn.
The barn is a perfect romantic retreat for couples. However, we also have high-chairs and travel cots available for those with babies and toddlers and plenty of storage space in the bedroom. We are also happy to welcome up to two well behaved medium-sized dogs. Our semi-enclosed garden area leads onto a very quiet lane, so is very dog-friendly.
We have put a great deal of time, energy and love into ensuring the quality and finish of Pascoe’s Pippin is first class. It really is a home from home!
Please note – If Gilliflower is already booked for the dates you want we are able to offer a 10% discount, if you are happy to just have the use of the master bedroom and en-suite, in either Pacoe’s Pippin or Hocking’s Green during the following periods:
1st January – 25th March 2021, 16th April – 13th May 2021 and 24th September – 16th December.
Gilliflower is a recently renovated, luxurious, spacious one bedroom barn conversion with a beautiful private courtyard garden.
Location
We are very conveniently located to explore the south coast beaches of Looe, Seaton (6 miles) and The Rame Peninsula. The Eden Project, The National Trust's Lanhydrock House, Fowey and beautiful Cardinham Woods are also just a short car journey away. If you enjoy walking; the South West Coast Path, Golitha Falls, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park are all within a short drive.
